Grants

The Golden Empire Chapter is offering grants to applicants with projects and events serving Kindergarten through 12th-grade students that are related to the study of science and/or the environment.

Grants of up to $1000 will be awarded on the basis of the quality of the educational experience and alignment with our Chapter’s stated mission. The Educational Grants and Scholarship Committee will review all applications received and select the winners.

Applications may be submitted on behalf of a school by a teacher, parent club, administrator, or other affiliated person or organization for projects serving K – 12th-grade students. See the application form below for more information. 

Scholarships

The Golden Empire Chapter is offering scholarships to applicants currently enrolled part- or full-time at a recognized college or university. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must be pursuing a science degree in the areas of biology, zoology, botany, ecology, chemistry, engineering, environmental studies, environmental hazardous materials technology, geology, or other courses of study related to environmental issues or management.

Scholarships of $1000 will be awarded based on academic record, career goals, and the written paper included within this application. Emphasis will be placed on the clarity, specificity, and organization of the applicant’s responses.
